Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC is seeking a Manager, Outage Management to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

This Manager, Outage Management functions as the Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) Outage Manager, managing staff responsible for the planning, coordinating, and execution of an integrated schedule of Operations, Maintenance, Laboratory, Engineering, Construction, Nuclear Safety, and other site organizations activities for associated outages. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensures staff develops and maintains knowledge of operating facility processes, systems, and related maintenance activities to organize, schedule, plan, oversee and coordinate all facility work activities and execution during outages.
  • Manages smooth operation of planned and emergent outages that include preventative maintenance (PM) outages, major outages that can take up to a year to plan and the unplanned outages.
  • Provides resolution of issues that slow or stop progress in planning.
  • Approves schedule and scope of Outage prior to planning.  
  • Approves Outage plan
  • Approves changes to Outage scope
  • Approves and ensures appropriate documentation is completed once work is completed so operations can be notified to start-up again.
  • Responsible for moving forced outages to top priority when required.
  • Maintain working relationship with all site organization managers that might be impacted by scheduled outages.
  • Works with Outage Managers from other site facilities to coordinate scheduled outages to minimize total outage period.
  • Keeps upper management and executives up to date on status of scheduled outages through meetings and regular reporting.
  • Manages and provides leadership to Outage Coordinators and Person in Charge (PICs) personnel. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and methods of multiple engineering disciplines including design and construction in addition to business disciplines such as procurement, planning, scheduling, cost/budget control
  • Clear understanding of work hazards, safety programs, environmental law, legal and business concepts
  • Previous Outage/direct supervisory experience
  • Experience in Nuclear Maintenance and Operations
  • PMP Certification
  • General knowledge of nuclear waste remediation

Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. Minimum Pay

USD $131,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $225,000.00/Yr.
