Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Business Applications, Information Technology/Operations Technology (IT/OT) to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

The Manager of the Business Applications department leads a team focused on developing and maintaining software applications that enhance the efficiency of the Accounting, Procurement, HR, and Project Controls departments by leveraging the Microsoft technology stack such as .NET, Azure, and SQL Server. By prioritizing process automation, the manager works closely with department heads to identify improvement opportunities and develop tailored solutions, thereby significantly reducing manual workloads. The role also encompasses fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and lead the team responsible for developing and maintaining business applications, supporting Accounting, Procurement, HR, and Project Controls.
  • Conduct career development planning and performance assessments for the department staff, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Establish and maintain program elements to ensure the qualification and technical expertise of team members, promoting growth within the business applications unit.
  • Coordinate activities to ensure that project schedules and objectives are met, working closely with stakeholders from various departments.
  • Provide regular status updates to upper management, communicating key performance metrics and project statuses while ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of cyber security measures within the business applications environment, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Pilot new technologies and process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of business applications.
  • Interface with other internal and external software development and IT groups to facilitate the transfer and integration of innovative technologies where appropriate.
  • Coordinate group activities with vendors and external support organizations by attending status and planning meetings, maintaining detailed work schedules and budgets, and managing procurement and subcontract tasks.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for cybersecurity concerns within the business applications realm, ensuring robust security measures are in place and maintained.
  • Provide strategic planning related to business application resources, directing development efforts to improve existing applications, introduce new technologies, and enhance operational safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Represent the company on business application and computing issues with external stakeholders, including DOE and other contractors, through meetings, reports, presentations, and policy reviews.
  • Ensure 24/7 technical support for the business applications to support organizational needs and provide rapid response to system-related issues.
  • Manage task order subcontracts as needed to provide additional support or specialized expertise for business application projects.
  • Establish and uphold quality assurance, configuration management, and design standards for business applications.
  • Monitor the health and performance of IT systems, particularly legacy systems, to ensure continuous operational effectiveness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and success of the organization.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent field, and progressive professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, showcasing the ability to manage, motivate, and guide a team effectively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Current experience on the SRS Liquid Waste Project
  • Experience working in a federally regulated environment.
  • Experience working in a DOE (Department of Energy) regulated environment.
  • Knowledge in key business domains such as Accounting, Procurement, HR, and Project Controls, enabling an understanding of their specific processes, needs and challenges for better application support and development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Full Stack development, particularly with C#, to ensure the effective development, integration, and maintenance of business applications using industry-standard technologies.

Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. Minimum Pay

USD $131,500.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $225,000.00/Yr.
