Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Facility Support to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

The Manager, Facility Support is responsible for managing a staff of operations personnel in the safe, efficient, and disciplined operation for core and ad-hoc Facility Support programs and functions.  Activities involve the integration of multi-disciplines for the successful accomplishment of work in the facility

Responsibilities

  • Ensure waste tank sampling/soundings are performed to meet requirements of the Safety Requirement Management System.  Interface with Engineering Regulatory and Operations Integration organizations to schedule and execute these activities.
  • Ensures support systems are maintained in accordance with the authorization basis.  This includes activities such as corrosion control sampling, special sampling, and various sample delivery.
  • Monitor waste transfers and changing conditions to balance and modify sampling/sounding requirements
  • Ensure sample transportation requirements are coordinated between Tank Farms, SRNL , DWPF and SWPF.
  • Ensure sample transports are conducted in accordance with DOE Orders, Site Transportation requirements and company procedures.
  • Coordinate return of residual sample material from SRNL and SWPF.
  • Oversee proper transportation of waste tank sampling material.
  • Monitor progress of facility projects as they change sampling/sounding needs and ensure these properly interface with PDD requirements.
  • Monitor ERD changes as tank sampling and chemical status changes.
  • Familiar with Sampling Methodology for CSTF DSA Administrative Programs.
  • Ensure Facility maintains chemical inventories within confines of DSA.
  • Familiar with CSTF Program Description Documents (Corrosion Control, Evaporator Feed Qualification, Flammability Control, Sludge Carryover, and Transfer Control) and the relationships to sampling/sounding requirements in SRMS.
  • Ensure Facility Fire Protection requirements are properly maintained. (Oversee FPC)
  • Interface with Regulatory, Project, Salt and Sludge Batch Engineering personnel to manage bulk chemical additions, subsequent mixing and sampling needs to meet various technical requirements.
  • Interface with Chemical Vendor as necessary
  • Ensure Chemical Mega Releases are maintained with fiscal year budget requirements. (Oversee CC to ensure this is done.)
  • Ensure excess chemicals are properly stored and dispositioned. (Oversee CC to ensure this is done.)
  • General oversight to ensure Site Chemical and Fire Protection requirements are met within our facilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with field nuclear experience in engineering or operations; or
  • Associates degree with field nuclear experience in engineering or operations; or
  • High School Diploma or GED with field nuclear experience in engineering or operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
  • Previous supervisory experience

Minimum Pay

USD $102,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $173,000.00/Yr.
