Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Production Manager, Laboratory to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

The Production Manager, Laboratory is responsible for managing laboratory resources to support liquid waste operations. Provides support to ensure Laboratory equipment, supporting utilities and Laboratory facilities are available and in good working condition to support Laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the Laboratory Manager when the Laboratory Manager is not available to ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations
  • Ensures laboratory resources are in good working condition to support daily laboratory operations to include manipulators, lab equipment, supporting utilities, Radiohoods, Gloveboxes and any laboratory equipment required for daily operations. Coordinates with other departments to request support needed
  • Submits and tracks service/work requests relevant to laboratory operations. Works with schedulers and planners to prioritize and deconflict work that may impact laboratory capabilities to support operations
  • Provides insights for laboratory design changes/modifications. Requests and coordinates engineering assistance for any design changes or modifications to laboratory systems
  • Assists with the preparation of lab operating budgets to meet established deadlines and approve procurements
  • Coordinates the shipment and receiving of non-routine SWPF/DWPF process samples
  • Interfaces with personnel across the company, and with other DOE sites
  • Serves as a reviewer and/or validator for new and revised procedures
  • Evaluates areas for laboratory operational and process improvements. Plans and guides the implementation of improvements ensuring completion of goals and availability of resources
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and relevant experience; or
  • High School Diploma and a combination of secondary education and/or relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a First Line Manager preferred
  • Previous experience in a nuclear facility
  • Previous laboratory technician or chemist experience

Minimum Pay

USD $92,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $155,000.00/Yr.
