The Senior Chemical Specialist contributes to the company’s chemical management program by providing guidance and structure to protect workers, general public, and the environment. Ensures non-bulk chemical inventory and life cycle management, and compliance with applicable regulations and statutes. Coordinates with multiple functions and organizations and influences the development of practices, tools, and standards. Provides chemical inventory transparency to support the safe use, storage, and disposition of non-bulk chemicals.
High School Diploma/GED and relevant work experience in chemical management, hazardous waste management, maintenance, or operations with demonstrated fundamental knowledge/experience with chemical disposition as defined in the job description.
Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.
