Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking an Accounting Manager to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the accounting group tasked with analyzing and reporting on financial information for the organization.   This group maintains the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income and is responsible for compilation and analysis of financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Manages personnel assigned to accounting, but not limited to, hiring, training, assigning work, performance management and pay administration. Supervises work activities and provides troubleshooting of issues and guidance as needed
  • Plans and directs the accounting and disbursement organizations functions
  • Manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data necessary for accurate accounting of business results
  • Directs the preparation of internal and external financial statements
  • Coordinates the responses to the activities of external and internal auditors
  • Provides senior management with information vital to decision-making processes
  • Assesses functional areas, offering guidance and recommendations for improvement and new process implementation
  • Evaluates and ensures compliance with strong internal control systems
  • Evaluates and manages financial software implementations and upgrades
  • Develops and monitors business performance metrics and forecasts
  • Acts as a liaison between the Company, Department of Energy, Partner companies and others as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Professional financial experience
  • Direct people management experience

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant designation

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. USD $128,112.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $230,568.00/Yr.
