Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Manager, Support Training, to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

This Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s Support Training departments ensuring program consistency, cost-effectiveness, and successful development, implementation, and maintenance of training required to ensure the organization’s personnel receive initial and continuing training that aligns with requirements and the functions performed.

• Oversees the design, development, implementation, delivery, evaluation and maintenance of training programs including, but not limited to, Maintenance, Radiological Control, Laboratory, Engineering, Construction, Site Regulatory Training.
• Manages personnel including hiring, training, assigning work, performance management and pay administration.  Provides guidance, direction, and support to staff to resolve questions, issues, and other matters ranging from technical to personnel in nature.
• Ensures staff obtain and maintain applicable instructional and technical qualifications. Provides staff with the tools, training, and opportunities to perform assignments effectively and efficiently.
• Ensures qualified core staffing levels are adequate and facility-endorsed to support mission needs.
• Models and practices concepts of safety awareness and enforces safety principles and practices among personnel. Ensures concepts of safety, conduct of operations, and professionalism are demonstrated by training personnel and in all training activities.
• Recommends Support budgets and major expenditures for training services, equipment, materials, and other resources in connection with training and qualification programs.
• Coordinates resources to ensure training requirements are fulfilled.
• Conducts assessments, procures and ensures maintenance of training hardware and facilities including facility-referenced simulation facilities.
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and relevant experience; or
• Associates degree and relevant experience; or
• High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience

 

Additional Information:

• Must have taken courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs, if not included in secondary education course material.
• This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the Order.  On an exception basis, equivalencies for education and/or experience may be applied.

• Demonstrated leadership or management experience 
• In-depth working knowledge of performance-based training methodologies
• Highly effective interpersonal skills for establishing and cultivating positive working relationships
• Knowledge of INPO operations and training regulations and requirements, and industrial codes and standards
• Practical knowledge of nuclear facilities and operations

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.
