Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Facility Manager, End Stream Delivery (ESD) to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

The Facility Manager, End Stream Delivery is responsible for oversight and operational execution of End Stream Delivery.  Directs and integrates the activities of all work groups assigned to the facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations to accomplish the facilities primary mission and meet objectives established by the US Department of Energy (DOE) and SRMC management.  This includes integration of project activities, facility modifications, and major repairs.  Integrates work activities and facility operations across SRMC organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Fosters a culture which enhances behavior-based safety and personal accountability
  • Directs overall operation of the facilities to deliver company mission and objectives.  Provides leadership of Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Construction, and Environmental, Safety and Health professionals to ensure facility milestones are met in a high standard of excellence. Operates the facilities in a safe, environmentally sound and cost effective manner in compliance with all appropriate orders and regulations
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with stakeholders including the DOE, DNFSB, CAB, etc., managing all aspects of facility operations to meet DOE and regulatory requirements.  A high degree of flexibility is required to ensure the facility team adapts to meet ever changing requirements
  • Prepares, implements production plans and schedules, and allocates resources to maximize efficiency consistent with SRMC and DOE- SR goals and objectives.  Ensures Project requirements are appropriately integrated with facility operations to deliver company commitments.
  • Anticipates customer and regulator requirements and adapts facilities and resources to meet the changing business demands.  Establishes plans for required resources to accomplish the facility mission. This includes developing and justifying short and long term budget needs and staffing requirements
  • Anticipates the need for and obtains support from outside organizations as necessary to effectively partner and support the mission
  • Provides operational integration of the organization to facilitate Liquid Waste priorities and objectives, project implementation, facility modifications and outage performance
  • Prepares and implements Annual Operating Plans and out-year operating plan for facilities scope and budget.  Integrates department budgets with Liquid Waste budget and priorities
  • Provides leadership to staff and management teams including the Management Review Team, Corrective Action Review Board and Facility Operations Safety Committee with focus on improving facility operations and  achieving milestones, objectives and mission critical activities
  • Manages human relations and resource needs in the facility, including responses to employee concerns.  Provides personnel development for direct staff, including career management and corrective discipline where necessary 
  • Develops and maintain effective relationships with DOE, regulators, other site company management and community leaders
  • Responsible for disciplined fiscal performance while utilizing the Earned Value Management System
  • Change agent implementing initiatives to support innovation and improve cost effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related technical or science degree, with progressive experience in a complex industrial environment.  Experience must include a minimum of two (2) years working at a nuclear site.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including previous direct people management.
  • Project Management experience

Additional Information

This position may fall under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the order.  On an exception basis, equivalencies for education and experience may be applied.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Broad technical base which demonstrates chemical and nuclear material processing knowledge
  • Broad understanding of environmental laws and regulations, DOE orders and knowledge of company policies
  • High level waste management experience
  • Nuclear experience on a DOE facility

Minimum Pay

USD $184,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $330,000.00/Yr.
