Overview

Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) is seeking a Controller to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site.

 

The SRMC Controller oversees financial activities of the company including accounting operations, accounts payable, financial reporting, payroll and compliance.  Responsible for procedures, financial systems and records designed to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Federal Acquisition Regulations(FAR) and/or international financial reporting standards.  

Responsibilities

  • Manages personnel assigned to functional areas including, but not limited to, hiring, training, assigning work, performance management and pay administration.  Supervises work activities and provides troubleshooting of issues and guidance as needed
  • Plans and directs the accounting and disbursement organizations functions
  • Manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data necessary for accurate accounting of business results
  • Directs the preparation of internal and external financial statements
  • Coordinates the responses to the activities of external and internal auditors
  • Provides executive management with information vital to decision-making processes
  • Assesses functional areas, offering guidance and recommendations for improvement and new process implementation
  • Evaluates and ensures compliance with strong internal control systems
  • Evaluates and manages financial software implementations and upgrades
  • Develops and monitors business performance metrics and forecasts
  • Manages Federal Acquisition Register (FAR) required government and prime contract financial reporting
  • Oversees parent or regulatory reporting
  • Acts as a liaison between the Company, Department of Energy, Partner companies and others as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline and extensive professional financial experience
  • Direct people management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation/certification/license.

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor. Minimum Pay

USD $159,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $300,000.00/Yr.
